Artist Statement:
My intention is for my art to nourish the soul by inviting one into contemplation
and quietness, to act as a touchstone for the viewer to reconnect with
the quiet space within. I often use natural images as metaphors for the
ways we relate to spirit. In some pieces I use whimsy and humor to showcase
the beauty of simple things.
Much of my recent work is drawn from the essence of western landscape. My
hope is that my work will assist the viewer to reconnect with the strength and
beauty of the universe and to feel a sense of place within it.

People who want to add positive energy to their home or office through artwork
that helps them to reconnect with life's essential beauty and their own serenity and wholeness.
What Type of Art is this?
I create in mixed media, using fabric, fibers, paper and paint, in a
collage process. My work has the tactile quality inherent to fiber art and most pieces hang freely without framing.
Some of the more predominately paper pieces are framed. In some work I collaborate with artist
L.P. Gregory creating mixed media art installations
of fiber and metal.
